Advanced Yoga Philosophy: Ayurveda with Aimee Blackman
20 hours CPD Accredited
As part of the Level 2 YTTC CYC has decided to open up this part of the level 2 course to other yoga teachers as continuing professional development (CPD).
Advanced Yoga Philosophy: Ayurveda is a journey deeper into the embodiment of theory in practice. A development course driving the modern yogi to look inwards at the ancient yogic texts and practices. The course will bring you Yoga as a lifestyle and guide your development so you can mature your teaching practices.
‘Ayus’ means life and ‘veda’ is knowledge or wisdom. The study of Ayurveda is the study of life so that we may have greater understanding of how things are. It deals with ‘being’. It provides understanding of our physical make up covering everything from our environment, our natural body types, the food we eat and the types of illness we may encounter.
Yoga, as many of you who practice may know, deals with the mind- it helps us ‘be’ better in our minds. Ayurveda deals with the body. Yoga deals with the mind. Yoga is a tool of Ayurveda- and Ayurveda is a tool of Yoga.
We will explore:
2.Understanding the principles of the Ayurvedic system.
3.How to apply the theory of Ayurveda to your own lifestyle.
4.Links between the theory of Ayurveda and the processes of Yoga.
Dates: 7th, 8th & 29th September
Payment can be made in full or in 3 installments of £90.
